COVID-19 Policy & Procedure UPDATE

March 27,2020

Things are progressing quickly with COVID-19. We are writing today to provide you with some changes in policy and practices that we will be implementing during the outbreak. Please note that these changes may lead to slightly longer lead times. MN has announced a “Stay-At-Home” order that goes into effect at 11:59 pm today (Friday, March 27) for all business and employees that are not considered “Critical Industry”

  • Dohrmann Enterprises, Inc, is considered “Critical Industry”
  • We fall under NAICS Code 3331: “Agriculture, Construction, and Mining Machinery Manufacturing”.
  • This will allow us to remain open during the “Stay-At-Home”

As noted in a previous update, we will continue to be open for business if:

  • Our staff remain
  • We can ship/receive
  • The government allows us

The only people allowed into our facility are:

  • Staff members
  • Professional delivery personnel

It has been documented that COVID-19 can remain stable on surfaces:

  • Cardboard - up to 24 hours (1 day)
  • Steel and Plastic - up to 72 hours (3 days)
  • Glass - up to 96 hours (4 days)

Because this survives on surfaces for the above-mentioned times, we are changing how we handle incoming shipments. This change in policy may lead to slightly longer lead times, especially on repairs.

  • All incoming shipments will not be handled for 24 hours
  • Following the 24 period they will be moved to a staging area
  • Packages will not be opened until it has been in our facility for 24 hours AND at least 72 hours since it had been
  • This way we know the internal components have not been at risk of contamination for 72 hours
  • Repairs that are dropped off will be brought in and isolated for 72 hours before we will begin performing repairs

These may seem like drastic measures, but drastic times call for drastic measures. We are currently a small team of 6. If any of us contract COVID-19 and spread it throughout our team, we will be unable to continue to support our clients.

We have been meeting every 1-2 days to review policies and discuss any changes that are needed to keep our staff comfortable and healthy. We also feel that this is a good time to remind everyone that we ship all orders, regardless of size: 1st ordered, 1st shipped based on inventory availability. Because of the likelihood of slightly extended lead times, we recommend allowing up to 2 weeks to receive your order. This time frame is not a guarantee and can change based upon inventory availability. We hope you understand and will continue to be patient with us. Have a wonderful day. We hope you stay happy and healthy. Dohrmann Enterprises Inc. Team
